The report assesses current racial equality across various sectors, including economics, education, health, and justice, through the 2024 Equality Index™, which stands at 75.7%. It also addresses ongoing challenges to civil rights and outlines strategies to advance racial equity in the 21st century.​

​The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's 2024 Voting Rights Toolkit serves as a comprehensive guide to empower individuals and communities in protecting and exercising their voting rights. It offers practical strategies to combat voter suppression, details on recent legislative changes affecting voting access, and resources to mobilize and educate voters. This toolkit is designed to strengthen civic engagement and ensure equitable participation in the democratic process.​

Unshackling The Vote

​The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's policy brief, Unshackling the Vote: Restoring Civic Participation for Persons Recently Released from Incarceration, examines legislative efforts to reinstate voting rights for formerly incarcerated individuals. It highlights disparities in state policies and advocates for federal measures to ensure equitable access to the ballot box. The brief underscores the importance of inclusive democracy and the need to address systemic barriers to civic participation.​

The U.S. Census Bureau's QuickFacts

​The U.S. Census Bureau's QuickFacts provides up-to-date statistics on Ohio's demographics, housing, and economic indicators. As of July 1, 2024, Ohio's estimated population was 11,883,304, reflecting a 0.7% increase since April 2020. The data also highlights that 21.9% of residents are under 18 years, and 18.7% are 65 years and over.

State of the Science: Introduction to Implicit Bias Review 2018-2020

The Ohio Housing Needs Assessment uses a wide range of data to identify the scale and scope of Ohio’s housing challenges. As part of the Annual Plan, the assessment plays a critical role in providing baseline information that the Agency uses to determine its strategic priorities. The Devaluation of Assets in Black Neighborhoods

Homeownership lies at the heart of the American Dream, representing success, opportunity, and wealth. However, for many of its citizens, America deferred that dream. For much of the 20th century, the devaluing of Black lives led to segregation and racist federal housing policy through redlining that shut out chances for Black people to purchase homes and build wealth, making it more difficult to start and invest in businesses and afford college tuition. Still, homeownership remains a beacon of hope for all people to gain access to the middle class.

2025 Black Maternal Health Week Toolkit

The 2025 Black Maternal Health Week (BMHW25) theme, “Healing Legacies: Strengthening Black Maternal Health Through Collective Action and Advocacy,” emphasizes the power of Black-led perinatal, maternal, and reproductive health organizations to drive systemic change and foster community healing. The theme acknowledges the persistent legacies of systemic oppression(s), reproductive injustices, and health inequities that have disproportionately affected Black Mamas and people. It emphasizes the need for healing at both individual and community levels while addressing the need for restorative approaches to maternal health care. BMHW25 celebrates the leadership and expertise of Black community-based organizations as the foundation for advancing equity and ensuring transformative, sustainable improvements in Black Maternal Health.
