BROOKINGS INSTITUTION
THE WELL-BEING OF BLACK BOYS AND MEN (2026)
Brookings' Race, Prosperity, and Inclusion Initiative partnered with four community organizations over two years to let Black boys and men define well-being for themselves, then mapped how public policy can promote it. Asset-framed and community-led, it examines economic mobility, optimism, and community conditions like safe parks, healthy food access, and nearby health care.

THE REAL FACE OF MEN'S HEALTH (2025)
Produced by HIT Strategies in partnership with Third Way, this research draws on in-depth focus groups with young Black, Latino, and non-college white men across presidential battleground states. It explores why support among young men has sharply declined, surfacing economic strain, cultural alienation, and a search for authentic leadership, and offers insights for rebuilding trust with this pivotal electorate.

URBAN INSTITUTE (RWJF)
BLACK LIFE EXPECTANCY BY STATE (2025)
A state-level analysis, so Ohio numbers can be pulled directly. Life expectancy for Black men ranges from 61.3 years in West Virginia to 76 in Rhode Island, and the report ties that variation to longstanding inequities and structural racism. This gives the Ohio-specific hook the national reports cannot.
